S.C.A.P.

The SA des Automobiles S.C.A.P. was a French manufacturer of automobiles and engines. S.C.A.P. stood for Société de Construction des Automobiles Parisiennes.

Company History

The gentlemen Launay and Margaria founded in 1912, the company in Boulogne- Billancourt and began the manufacture of automobiles. The brand name was S.C.A.P. 1929 production ended. In addition to manufacturing its own cars built-in motors were delivered to various other car manufacturers.

Rolling stock

Initially, there were the models 8 CV and 12 CV, which were equipped with pusher engines of Ballot. 1919 appeared the model L 10 CV with a four cylinder engine.

1923 followed the model M with 1100 cc capacity. 1924 replaced the Model O with 1500 cc displacement, the model L 10 CV. In 1929 appeared a model with in-line eight -cylinder engine with 2000 cc capacity. The vehicles were also used in car races such as the 24 - hour race at Le Mans.
