Constantinesco (automobile)

Constantinesco was a French manufacturer of automobiles.

Company History

A native of Romania George Constantinesco (1881-1965) ran the Constantinesco Torque Converter Ltd. in London. In 1926 he founded a company in Paris for the production of automobiles and introduced the same year vehicles at the Paris Motor Show from. The brand name was Constantinesco. 1928 production ended.

Rolling stock

The only Model 5 CV was a small car. For the drive was provided by a two-cylinder two -stroke engine with 494 cc displacement. The drive was performed on one of the two rear wheels. Special feature was the torque converter, the British company of George Constantinesco produced. The open two- seater cost £ 250. The original price for a closed variant was 370 pounds sterling, but got this version no longer on sale.
