Dettingen is a district of Rottenburg am Neckar in the administrative district of Tübingen in Baden- Württemberg.

Geography

The village is located approximately six kilometers south of the city of Rottenburg Rottenburg between the Weiler and the further Rottenburger district Hemmendorf. You can reach Dettingen of Rottenburg Coming on the L389 or by the winding Dettinger Dales of Novalis Coming on the L385. Dettingen is located at the foot of the forest area Rammert. By Dettingen leads the Aischbach, which then forms the Katzenbach in confluence with the coming of Hemmendorf Krebsbach. This flows into the Neckar in Bad Niedernau. History

Dettingen is first mentioned in 1275, where the name is Alemannic and probably due to Tato ( " place of judgment "). The age of Dettingen, however, is far earlier to settle. Roman finds in Won "on the Weil " promoted in the year 1995, the perimeter wall of a Roman settlement to days. These were probably a Roman estate, a so-called "Villa Rustica ". The village came together with the Hohenberger areas in the 14th century Austria and 1805 in Württemberg.

Coat of arms

The Dettinger coat of arms shows a split of silver and red shield. The top panel is a fallen ploughshare. This appeared in ancient crest before 1930 and was probably an old stain mark.
