Geography

Surge village is located about 7 km southwest of Rottenburg on the Neckar river valley south of the Gäuhochfläche. The altitude of the district extends 360-492 meters. The town itself is located at an altitude of about 470 meters.

History

Surge village is first mentioned in 1100 in the Codex of the Monastery Hirsau (Codex Hirsaugiensis ). Codex also a nobleman is mentioned by name Fridericus de Swaldorf.
