Do not Stop ( Funkin ' 4 Jamaica) is a song by American singer Mariah Carey in duet with American rapper Mystikal. The song was written by Carey, DJ Clue, Duro, and Mystikal and produced by the former three. It appeared on Carey's music album Glitter ( 2001). The song uses the sample of the 1980s song Funkin 'for Jamaica ( NY). Mystikal raps about wild times, it tells Carey him, " do not stop ". The song was released on 10 December 2001 as the third single of the album.
Like the previous singles ( with the exception of Loverboy ), was Do not Stop ( Funkin ' 4 Jamaica ) is a commercial failure. It missed the Billboard Hot 100 in Australia and the UK, the song reached the top 40th
The music video was often broadcast by MTV, Carey thus achieved with the music video at least a commercial peak.
