Erlenbach bei Marktheidenfeld

Erlenbach bei Marktheidenfeld ( officially: Erlenbach b.Marktheidenfeld ) is a municipality in the Lower Franconian district of Main -Spessart and a member of the administrative community Marktheidenfeld. The village lies on the main road 8 between Würzburg and Aschaffenburg and entitled to effective advertising as " wine village with a heart".

History

As part of the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg, which belonged to the Frankish Empire Circle, Erlenbach was secularized in 1803 in Bavaria's favor, then in the Peace of Pressburg (1805 ) to Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany left to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg, with which it finally fell back to Bavaria in 1814. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.
