Falerio dei Colli Ascolani

Falerio dei Colli Ascolani is an Italian white wine from the province of Ascoli Piceno in the Marche. The wine with the status of DOC (since 1975) grows on the hills up to a height of 700 m slm along the river Tenna and the cultivation is authorized in all 33 municipalities in the province. Open to the Trebbiano (20-50 %, in some cases up to 70 %), and Passerina (10-30%), Verdicchio, Malvasia Bianca Lunga (also known as Malvasia toscana here ) ( max. 7 %), Pinot bianco and Pecorino (10-30%). 190 winegrowers work on 490 acres of land approved and bring the average 24,000 hectoliters of white wine on the market. The wine should be enjoyed in its youth.
