FEI World Cup Jumping 2011/2012, Western European League
The Western European League of the FEI World Cup Jumping 2011/2012 ( Rolex FEI World Cup ™ Jumping 2011 to 2012, Western European League ) was the 34th season of the Western and Central European League of the FEI World Cup Show Jumping. The World Cup is true in the area of Western Europe League as the most important tournament series in the indoor season.
The end of the tournament series
After the first European League of the Show Jumping World Cup 1978/1979 consisted of nine tests, the Western European League was 2011/2012 twelve stations. All of these tournaments were as CSI 5 *, the highest category in show jumping, advertised. They are (ie CSI 5 * -W) identified with the suffix -W, to make them as World Cup tournaments marked.
The series lasted in the season 2011/2012 of 12 October to 26 February. It qualified the best 18 riders of the Western European League and individual supplementary subscriber ( "extra Competitors ") for the World Cup finals in 2012. Principal sponsor of the Western European League and the World Cup Finals is Rolex.
The World Cup stages were always on Sunday afternoon, instead of sporadically on Saturday night. They were advertised as jumping competition with one jump-off, the barrier height was up to 1.60 meters. These tests were each doped with at least € 100,000.

The FEI World Cup handed over the checks of the Western European League charge on their Internet portal FEI TV. On television, the World Cup tests were mostly broadcast live on the implementing country, in some countries of Europe and the other checks on the Western European League were re-live. The tests
1st test: Oslo
The first World Cup test of Western Europe League will be held in Oslo traditional. The Oslo Horse Show was held at the Telenor Arena from 12 to 16 October 2011. The World Cup competition was held on October 16 from 15:30 clock.
Of the 40 participating riders the high number of 14 riders came into the jump-off. 2nd test: Helsinki
The Helsinki International Horse Show will be held from 20 to 23 October 2011 in the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki. Here is the second station of the Western European League was held 2011/2012. The special stage of the World Cup was held from 14:45 clock on 23 October 2011. The course was set up in this exam from Brasilianier Guilherme Jorge.
In the first round were nine riders with their horses properly. In the jump- Patrice Delaveau erritt by far the fastest time ( 35.14 seconds ), but had one fence down. There were four riders errors, the victory went as already in Oslo to Pius Schwizer. This is thus already almost certainly qualified for the World Cup finals. The audit was endowed with 110,000 euros.

3rd test: Lyon
Since 2009, the Equita Lyon is a World Cup tournament. This took place in 2011 from 26th to 30th October at the Eurexpo in Lyon. The World Cup competition was conducted October 30 from about 15:00 clock. Was built in the course of this examination by the German course designer Frank Rothenberger.
Nine riders jumped in the first round without error, a rider ( Malin Baryard - Johnsson ) had a time penalty point. The jump-off course with many tight turns to riding denied the nine participants in times of 40.88 to 44.24 seconds. The fastest time rode Rolf- Göran Bengtsson, who remained free of errors and thus won the class. A prize money of € 200,000 was paid in this exam.

4th test: Verona
The Italian leg of the Western European League of show jumping was held to 6 November 2011 at the Fieracavalli of 3. Venue was the Veronafiere in Verona.
In the first round of testing Eric Lamaze approached with Hickstead. After completion of the course Hickstead brought together his dead rider. As a result, the test was stopped and held a minute's silence.
5th Test: Stuttgart
As part of the Stuttgart German Masters, the fifth special stage of the Western European League took place 2011/2012. The tournament was conducted from 16 to 20 November 2011. The Grand Prize, which represented the World Cup special stage in Stuttgart was carried out on 20 November from 14:55 clock. The course was here, as built in the previous year, by Christa Jung from Bad Frederick Hall.
Despite the tournament deadline less than a week before the final stage of the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix was heavily occupied. 6 Examination: Geneva
In the Palexpo in Le Grand- Saconnex in Geneva, the sixth World Cup tournament took place in the framework of the Western European League 2011/2012 instead. The CHI Geneva was held in 2011 from 8 to 11 December.
On Sunday, 11 December 2011 from 14:15 clock the World Cup of examination Geneva took place. Was built in the course of the Swiss Rolf Lüdi.
The first round turned out in this test as a solvable problem for the 40 participants represent 16 of them reached the jump-off. There were twelve zero-defect rounds. 7 Examination: London
Already decorated for Christmas presents every year the Olympia London International Horse Show. This seventh World Cup tournament in the Western European League was held in London from 13 to 19 December 2011. The World Cup exam was held on 18 December from 15:00 local time clock. Course designer of this test was the Briton Bob Ellis.
As usual with the London International Horse Show, the number of participants was 34 in this test is not quite as extensive as in other stations of the Western European League. Of the participants had in the first round five riders have more than eight penalty points, a rider did not finish the round. A total of eleven riders remained with their horses in the first round without error. Just off the stinging scraped past Holger Wulschner with Cefalo, who passed the time allowed by eight hundredths of a second and thus recorded a time penalty point.

8 test: Mechelen
In Mechelen, Belgium, traditionally the last major tournament of the equestrian year takes place. This World Cup tournament called Jumping Mechelen - Vlaanderens Kerst Jumping, found in 2011, as in previous years, from 26 to 30 December. The first round of the World Cup test proved to be reasonable task for participants: Eight riders with their horses showed a clear round and qualified for the jump-off, four riders did not finish the round, time penalties were only sporadically recorded. 9 test: Leipzig
After about a month the World Cup break, the Western European League of the jumpers was continued in 2012, from 19th to 22nd of January. In this period was held the horse as a partner at the Leipzig Exhibition Centre. The World Cup test, the Grand Prix, was held on January 22, 2012 from about 14:30 clock.
At the examination took 39 riders participate with their horses, of which 13 riders remained in the normal circulation without error and qualified for the jump-off. Rolf- Göran Bengtsson missed the jump-off due to a time penalty point, three riders gave up and another rider did not finish the evaluation process.
In the jump- Katrin Eckermann initially continued in the lead, but Christian Ahlmann was 17 hundredths of a second faster and took the lead. Marcus Ehning was only marginally slower, and sat down to third place. Since no other rider could build on time and the result of three riders, the victory went to the reigning World Cup winner last year at the same place, Christian Ahlmann with Taloubet Z. 10 Check: Zurich
The CSI Zurich is the fourth time a World Cup tournament in the Western European League. The discharged in the Zurich Hallenstadion tournament was held between January 29, 2012 27. 11 Check: Bordeaux
The second World Cup tournament in the Western European League 2011/2012 in France is the Jumping International de Bordeaux. This tournament will take place February 5, 2012 at the Parc de Expositions de Bordeaux of 3.
The World Cup jumping competition was, other than the champions World Cup tournaments, not on the final day, but on Saturday evening from 20:30 o `clock. The first round of testing denied 22 of 38 riders with four or fewer penalty points. Of these, ten riders jumped free and qualified for the jump-off. Of these, five were riders with their horses without error, the projection of second and third place was nearly one second.

Vigo
The southernmost Tournament of Western Europe League to be held in Vigo from February 9 to 12, 2012. In October 2011, the organizers of the World Cup tournament of Vigo stated that the tournament due to economic difficulties in 2012 can not be carried out.
12 Check: Gothenburg
The season finale of the Western European League was formed in 2012, the Göteborg Horse Show. The World Cup tournament in Gothenburg was from 23 to 26 February 2012, the World Cup test was conducted on 26 February from 15:30 clock.
A total of 38 riders started in the World Cup competition in Gothenburg, whose course was built by Uliano Vezzani from Italy. The first round of the piercing was demanding, only 15 riders with their horses had a score of four or better Starfpunkten, five riders reached the jump-off with a clear round.
In the jump were two of five riders without obstacle and time error. Appreciation
Based on the overall ranking is established, which qualify 18 riders from the states in the area of Western Europe League for the final.
