FIL World Luge Natural Track Championships 1984

The 4th FIL Natural Track Luge World Cup took place from January 28 to 29, 1984 in Kreuth in Germany.

Single Seater Men

The Austrian Alfred Kogler - bronze medalist in doubles - became world champion in the men's single-seater. The silver medal was won by Italian Giuseppe Cerise, for it was the only medal at major events. The third placed Willi Danklmaier from Austria won his first World Championship medal.

Single Seater Ladies

The Italian Delia Vaudan was the third time after 1979 and 1980 World Champion in the single-seater. The runner-up Paula Peintner, also from Italy, who won the last World Cup bronze. Third was Irmgard Lanthaler, which also belongs to the Italian Federation. Thus, as early as 1980 were only Italians on the podium.

Two-seater

In doubles the Italians Andreas Jud and Ernst upper hammer managed to successfully defend the title. The silver medal won Jud Martin and Harald Steinhauser, also from Italy, who won silver and four years ago. Third place went to the Austrian Alfred Kogler - world champion in single-seater - and Franz Huber. The European champion from 1981 had been second in the last World Cup.
