FIL World Luge Natural Track Championships 2005
The 15th FIL Natural Track Luge World Cup took place until 30 January 2005 at the Italian Laces of 26. For the first time two athletes from South America ( Brazil) were represented.

Single Seater Men

The Italians Anton Blasbichler was with personal bests in the first and second competition round for the second time after 2001 world champion in the single-seater. For the second time a team competition was held as part of the World Cup. While at the premiere four years ago, only five teams had participated in three countries, this time were ten teams from eight nations at the start, with Italy, Austria and Russia each have two teams and Germany, Poland and Slovenia presented a team. Added to this was a team that started in the Bulgarians and Canadians. The Team Austria I won both Einsitzerrennen, was second in doubles and thus won the gold medal, six points ahead of Team Russia I. In each case, only one point behind the team landed Italy I and the team from Poland, who won the doubles race.
