FIL World Luge Natural Track Championships 1986
The 5th FIL Natural Track Luge World Cup took place from February 22 to 23, 1986 in Fénis -Aosta in Italy.
Single Seater Men
Gerhard Pilz became world champion in single-seaters, and thus won the only medal for Austria at this World Cup, all the others went to the host country, Italy. The silver medal won Lugon Damiano, who won in 1979 and 1980, two silver medals in the single-seater and 1979 world champion in doubles was. Third-placed Harald Steinhauser won his first medal at major events.
Single Seater Ladies

Almir Betemps and Corrado Herin won their first world title in doubles. In the previous year they had been second in the European Championship.
