France Davis Cup team

The French Davis Cup team is the national team of France Tennis, which participates in the Davis Cup since 1904. It is organized by the Fédération française de tennis. The Davis Cup is the most important competition for national teams in men's tennis, similar to the Fed Cup for the women.

History

Since 1904, France took part in the Davis Cup. The greatest success the team in the years 1925 to 1933, when you could reach the finals every year. In this era fell six of the nine wins, three times they left as losers on the pitch. This was followed by a long dry spell before you in 1982 for the first time in the finals again. There, however, the team defeated the United States. Only in 1991 was the now seventh success be assured.
