Gaggiano

Gaggiano is a municipality with 8974 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Milan, Lombardy region.

The municipality is situated approximately 17 km south-west of Milan. The station on the railway line Milano - Mortara is served by the line S 9 S-Bahn Milan. Furthermore, the community at the Naviglio Grande is, on which there was a Schifssverbindung for the transport of goods between Milan and Lake Maggiore, from the 13th to mid-20th century.

The nearby towns of Gaggiano are Cusago, Cisliano, Albairate, Trezzano sul Naviglio, Vermezzo, Zibido San Giacomo, Gudo Visconti, Noviglio and Rosate.

The parish church Sant'Invenzio is from 1620 with baroque facade and a number of palaces and villas on the Naviglio Grande.
