Association

Geir Frigård began his career with his hometown club Funnefoss / Vormsund. In his youth he also played for FK Løvenstad. His first game as a professional, he played for Lillestrøm SK. But he could not be established there and was finally released after three seasons to Kongsvinger IL. He replaced the top scorer Roar Kaasa. His performances in the UEFA Cup for Kongsvinger IL meant that he could try again at Lillestrøm SK in 1995. His second start was marked by some ups and downs. In 1997, he followed his coach Per Brogeland to Austria for LASK. In his first season he finished with 23 goals scorer in Austria. In his second season in Austria he could achieve at least ten goals in 20 games. Due to his achievements he received ( " Geir Frigård football god " ) at the LASK fans Kultustatus. His good performances were in an economically difficult time of LASK, so he had to be delivered. So he moved to Germany for the equivalent of slightly more than 1.5 million euros to Tennis Borussia Berlin, where he was the most expensive purchase in history at that time. However, he sat down by neither with Tennis Borussia Berlin still with CS Sedan, so he again returned to LASK in 2001. There he played a bigger role again. However LASK dismounted in this season, so he left the club after just one year and 15 goals scored. So he moved to Belgium Lierse SK, where he remained until 2004. Lierse SK was also his last foreign stop. After a good season in Ham -Kam he found himself there on the bench again, and so he decided his career at Eidsvold to end the turn.

He made his debut in a 1-2 defeat against the United States in a friendly match on 15 January 1994. During qualifying for the 1996 European Championships he scored on 7 September 1994 in a 1-0 victory over Belarus his only international goal.
