Gneisenaustraße (Berlin U-Bahn)

Metro Station Gneisenaustraße is a station of the Berlin U -Bahn line U7. It is located below the same Gneisenaustraße in the amount of Mittenwalderstraße in the district of Kreuzberg. BVG internally the station is performed under the symbol Gs. The station has an easy paved central platform in a simple depth position with outputs on both platforms.

History

The subway station was taken on January 19, 1924 as part of the extension of the North-South Railway ( today's lines U6 and U7) from the Halle Gate towards Neukölln as between term terminus in operation. The station was based originally on the other stations of the north- south railway. As a characteristic white color was chosen to white, the walls were plastered in white color of the North-South railway stations and were supplemented by a further characteristic color. Accordingly, the structures of the station were also in white. The length of the platform initially was 80 meters.
