Template: Infobox city in Portugal / Maintenance / Web page is blank Golegã [ ɡoɫɯɡɐ ] is a small town ( Vila ) in Portugal. The district is known for its horse and cattle ranches. Every year here with the Feira Nacional do Cavalo held a nationally renowned equestrian festival with exhibition and fair. Golegã is a major site of horse breeding the Portuguese Lusitano horse breed.

History

Finds evidence of a settlement since the Chalcolithic period. The location of rivers and later important routes favored the settlement. Traffic

The national road N365 connects Golegã with the 10 km northern junction 5 ( Atalaia ) of the east-west running A23 motorway. After crossing the A23, the N365 is also in the highway IC3 Tomar.
