Huai Krachao District
Amphoe Huai Krachao ( Thai: อำเภอ ห้วย กระเจา ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the eastern part of the province of Kanchanaburi. The Kanchanaburi province is located in the western part of central Thailand on the border with Myanmar.
Geography
The neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise): Amphoe Phanom Thuan the Bo Phloi and Lao Khwan Kanchanaburi Province, and Amphoe U Thong Suphanburi province.
History
The Tambon Huai Krachao, Wang Phai, Sa Long Ruea and Don Salaep were separated on 30 April 1994 by Amphoe Phanom Thuan to set up the sub-district ( King Amphoe ) Huai Krachao. He got the full Amphoe status on 11 October 1997.
Management
Amphoe Huai Krachao is divided into four subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 67 villages ( Muban ).
There are also two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Huai Krachao is ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ห้วย กระเจา ) from the whole Tambon Huai Krachao,
- Sa Long Ruea is ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สระ ลง เรือ ) from the whole tambon Sa Long Ruea.
Furthermore, there are two " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
