Huizhou

Huizhou (惠州 市) is a prefecture -level city in Guangdong Province, China. Here the Huizhou dialect of Hakka language is spoken. Huizhou has an area of ​​10,655 km ² and approximately 3.27 million inhabitants ( 2002).

Located in Huizhou "Former Residence of Ye Ting " (叶挺 故居, Ye Ting Guju ) is on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China.

Administrative Divisions

Huizhou is made up of two districts and three counties:

  • Municipality Huicheng (惠 城区), 1410 km ², approximately 920,000 inhabitants, center, seat of the city government;
  • City Huiyang District (惠阳 区), 1262 km ², approximately 510,000 inhabitants;
  • Circle Boluo (博罗县), 2795 km ², 820,000 inhabitants;
  • Huidong county (惠东 县), 3397 km ², 700,000 inhabitants;
