Jacob Trouba
Jacob trouba (born 26 February 1994 in Rochester, Michigan ) is an American professional ice hockey player on the position of the defender. He is since April 2013 in the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League contract.

Career
Trouba began his career as a hockey player in Detroit, where he played for the junior team Detroit Compuware. For the 2010/11 season the defender was invited to the U.S. National Team Development Program and completed 31 games in his debut season for the team in the United States Hockey League. In the following season he was with 18 points from 22 games the top scoring defender of his team.
In the NHL Entry Draft 2012 trouba was considered one of the most promising talents, and was led in the rankings of the International Scouting Services to rank five of all available players. He was eventually selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the first round in ninth position. For the season 2012/13 he moved to the University of Minnesota and went on for the ice hockey team in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. There, he scored in his first season, 29 points in 37 games. Trouba was then called into the All- Rookie team and the first All-Star team of the CCHA, as well as the best offensive defender Division awarded. Finally, he was selected by the NCAA as the only freshman and the All-American team.
On April 2, 2013 trouba signed an initial three-year contract with the Winnipeg Jets. There, he succeeded to the 2013/14 season at first the jump to the NHL squad the team. His first game he attended at the season opener on October 1, 2013 against the Edmonton Oilers, in which he was able to achieve both his first NHL goal and his first submission.
Internationally
Jacob trouba represented the U.S. for the first time during his time in the U.S. National Team Development Program, where he played at international level for the U17, U18 and U20 selection. He made his debut at the World U -17 Hockey Challenge in 2011, where he graduated with nine points from five matches as the top scoring defender of the U.S. and his team won the silver medal. In the U18 World Junior Championships in 2011 and 2012 he was again in the squad the USA and won both tournaments at the gold medal. In the same year he also took part in the U20 World Youth Championship in part, but missed a medal this time and ended the tournament with his team to seventh place.
In the U20 Junior World Championship 2013 trouba was an assistant captain of the U.S. selection and led his team with nine points in seven games to win the gold medal. Trouba was then appointed to the All- Star team of the tournament and awarded best defender.
He made his debut for the Men's National Team in the same year at the World Championships in 2013., Where he was the youngest player in the squad of Americans and eventually won the bronze medal with the team.
