Japan National Route 6

The National Road 6 (Japanese国 道6号, Kokudo 6- gō ) is an important north - south road in Japan and crosses the main Japanese island of Honshu from Tokyo to Sendai. The current terminus Iwanuma where crosses the National Road 4 and 6, the distance is 334 km from Tokyo to Iwanuma.

History

The National Road 6 was set up in 1920 between Tokyo and Sendai. On December 4, 1952, the judgment was made as National Road 1st class. However, to April 1, 1965, this distinction was abolished.

By furnished after the nuclear disaster of Fukushima exclusion zone with a radius of 20 km around the nuclear power plant Fukushima Daiichi, which was officially established on April 22, 2011 the use of the 40- km section between Hirono and Haranomachi in Hamadōri of Fukushima Prefecture is only still permitted with an administrative exemption.
