Jean-Michel Daoust

Jean -Michel Daoust (* November 24, 1983 in Salaberry -de- Valleyfield, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since 2013 in the Stavanger Oilers in the GET ligaen under contract.

Career

Daoust began his career as a seventeen -year-old at the Hull Olympiques of the QMJHL. In his first year, he scored 50 points in the regular season, also get him four goals in a game against the Sagueneens de Chicoutimi. In the third season in 2002/ 03 at the Olympiques Daoust was the second best scorer of his team and won the championship. Both successes he repeated in the following season. 2004 played the winger at McGill University in the Canadian university sports organization CIS. Already during the 2003/ 04 season changed Daoust in the Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey to the Saint -François de Sherbrooke. The following year, Daoust played with the Danbury Trashers in the United Hockey League. After the dissolution of the franchise of Canadians wore in the 2006/07 season the jersey of the Cincinnati Cyclones in the ECHL. The following season he won the Cyclones Kelly Cup, the championship of the ECHL. In addition Daoust denied in the 2007/ 08 season, a game for the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League and completed as part of a try-out contract in January 2008 at a total of 39 games for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the farm team of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the AHL.

In the following season Daoust was again the jersey of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, before he moved to league rivals Houston Aeros. After this successful season, he signed a one year contract with the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League, but did not come for the game to use, but spent the entire 2010/11 season again at the farm team in Houston.

For the season 2011/12 Daoust was committed by the Straubing Tigers of the DEL. After an adjustment period, he managed increasingly to assume responsibility in the team. In February 2012, he suffered a fracture of the patella, causing the season for the striker was terminated prematurely. For the 2012/13 season, signed a contract with the Daoust EC Graz 99ers of the EBEL.
