IIHF Continental Cup 2014

The IIHF Continental Cup 2013/14 is the 17th edition of the discharged by the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF competition. The tournament will be held from September 27 2013 until January 12, 2014.

Qualification

Contrary to previous agreements, the current champion of the 2nd Hockey League, the Bietigheim Steelers, due to non- reporting by the DEB are not allowed to participate in the Continental Cup.

First round

The matches of the first round took place between September 29, 2013 in Belgrade (Serbia ) on 27 September. Participants were Bipolo Vitoria -Gasteiz (Spain ), CSKA Sofia HK (Bulgaria), HK Partizan Belgrade ( Serbia) and Viiking Sport Tallinn ( Estonia).

Second Round

The second round of the Continental Cup was played in two groups of 18 to 20 October 2013. The venues were Nottingham in the UK ( with the Nottingham Panthers, HK Riga Juniors (Latvia ), HYS The Hague (Netherlands ) and the Erstrundenzweiten Bipolo Vitoria- Gasteiz (Spain ) ) and Dunaújváros in Hungary ( with host Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák, KS Cracovia (Poland ), HSC Csíkszereda (Romania) and HK Slavija Ljubljana from Slovenia).

Third Round

The third round of the Continental Cup will take place between November 24, 2013 22. The game is played in two groups in the Italian Asiago and Danish Vojens. Directly qualified are Asiago (Italy ), HK Ertis Pavlodar (Kazakhstan ), Toros Neftekamsk (Russia), SønderjyskE Ishockey (Denmark), HK Neman Grodno ( Belarus ) and the Stavanger Oilers (Norway).

Super Final

The Super Final of the Continental Cup was held from January 12, 2014 from 10. The venue of the tournament is Rouen in France. Host Dragons de Rouen and last year's winner HK Donbass Donetsk from Ukraine were already set, by qualifying the Stavanger Oilers of the Norwegian GET - ligaen and Asiago of the Italian Elite.A prevailed.

The best fishing quota among the goalkeepers had before Ruben Smith, who saved 92.54 percent of the shots on his goal.
