IIHF European Cup 1974
The Hockey European Cup in the 1973/74 season was the ninth edition of the competition of the same name by the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF. The competition began in September 1973; the final was played in August and September 1975. A total of 17 teams took part. The CSKA Moscow defended for the fifth time in a row the title.
Mode and participants
The country masters of the 1972 /73 European members of the IIHF were qualified for the competition. The competition was held in the knockout system in return game. The defending champions CSKA Moscow was there for the final set.
