James Joseph Harbaugh ( born December 23, 1963 in Toledo, Ohio ) is an American former American football player and now coach. He played quarterback in the National Football League ( NFL), among others, for the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts. Since 2011 he has been head coach of the San Francisco 49ers.

Youth

Jim Harbaugh is the son of Jack Harbaugh a former college football coach and the younger brother of John Harbaugh. He attended in Ann Arbor, Michigan, high school, because his father was an assistant coach at the University of Michigan. Even in high school he played American football. Playing career

College

Jim Harbaugh studied from 1983 to 1986 at the University of Michigan, where he played quarterback for the Michigan Wolverines.
