John Glascock

John Glascock ( born 2 May 1951 in Islington, United Kingdom, † November 17, 1979 in London) was from 1975 to 1979 bassist of British rock group Jethro Tull.

Life

Before John Glascock boarding in 1975 as a bass player for the British rock group Jethro Tull, he played on eight albums with various other musical groups. His musical career began in 1962 with The Juniors (up to 1964), together with his brother Brian and the subsequent Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor.

Further stations of his career before Jethro Tull led him to The Gods ( 1965 to 1969 with Ken Hensley and Lee Kerslake ), Machine Head (1970), Toe Fat ( 1969 to 1970 with Cliff Bennett ) and Chicken Shack ( 1970-1972 ).

From 1973 to 1975 he played again together with his brother, in Carmen, an innovative flamenco - rock band from Los Angeles. With a commitment of Carmen as the opening act for the War Child tour of Jethro Tull, John Glascock and Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson met.
