Kirsti Sparboe

Kirsti Sparboe (born 7 December 1946 in Tromsø) is a Norwegian pop singer and actress.

Life

After a commercial apprenticeship, she worked as a secretary. She stepped into a dance band, took singing lessons and was 17 years old her first recording contract. Already with their first single ballerina she was in 1964 in Norway and Sweden successfully. In 1965 she took with carousel for the first time Norway on Euro Vision Song Contest, but was unsuccessful as well as their participation in 1967 and 1969.

In the late 1960s they came under the name " Kirsti " with its produced by Telefunken hits in the German charts. Her biggest success came in the Federal Republic A student from Uppsala, which she was represented in 1969 for 14 weeks in the German charts with the title.
