Margaret Berger

Margaret Berger (born 11 October 1985 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian pop singer.

Career

Berger grew up on Hitra. She sang in a gospel choir and began at the age of twelve years to write their own songs.

Berger 2004 reached the second place in the talent show Idol: Jakten på en superstjerne, the Norwegian version of Pop Idol. In October 2004, her debut album, Chameleon, which reached the fourth place in the Norwegian album chart appeared. She won the Spellemannprisen for the music video on the song Lifetime guarantee in the same year. In 2006, she released her second album, Pretty Scary Silver Fairy.

Berger won in 2013 with the song I Feed You My Love the Melodi Grand Prix, the Norwegian preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest in 2013, and thus represented her home country in Malmo, Sweden. I Feed You My Love was written by the songwriter Karin Park and the producer duo Macho Psycho. Park wanted the title but not sing himself, remembering Berger's performance in the talent show, after which she offered the singer the song. Berger reached as one of the winners of the second semi-finals, the finals of the competition and was elected there to the fourth place.
