Tooji

Tooji, actually Touraj Keshtkar, (Persian تورج کشتکار ) ( born May 26, 1987 in Shiraz ) is an Iranian-born Norwegian television presenter, singer and composer. He represented Norway at the Euro Vision Song Contest in 2012.

Life

Tooji came in 1987 as Touraj Keshtkar in Shiraz in Iran to the world. At the age of one year he went with his mother Lily as asylum seekers to Norway. When he was 16 years old, he began to work as a model. In parallel, he began training as an educator. Into the music business, he came by his moderation activities at the Norwegian offshoot of the television station MTV. Here he hosted the hit parade Toojis Top 10 and the show Super Saturday. His first single Swan Song he published in 2008.

In 2012 he participated with the song Stay at the Melodi Grand Prix. The of Tooji together with the Swedes Peter Boström - who was also involved as a co -author on the Swedish contribution - written and Figge Boström song won the Norwegian preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2012 on 11 February 2012 at the Oslo Spektrum. On 24 May 2012, he joined with the song for Norway in the second semi-final of the ESC in Baku and was able to qualify for the two days later held the final. He then had to settle with seven points and last place. In 2013 he was allowed to recite the points from the Norwegian televoting in Euro Vision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö.
