Kissenbrück

Kissenbrück is a municipality in the district of Wolfenbüttel, in Lower Saxony. It belongs to the Samtgemeinde aces, which has its headquarters in the town of Remlingen.

Geography

Kissenbrück is in the northwest of the velvet municipality aces and meets there with the Saaremaa. In the West, the Oker flows past the municipal boundary.

A part of the municipality is Hedwigsburg (49 inhabitants).

History

The first mention of Kissenbrück goes back to a document which is to be number 1419 in the records of the monastery of Corvey on the Weser. The Count Thuring bequeathed his property in Kissenbrück and Neindorf the monastery.

For the meaning of the act is supported by the considerable number of twenty witnesses. The exact year of the certification is not known, on the basis of studies, the time of origin of the instrument was limited to the period 822-826.

Traffic

The Route number 353 of the Deutsche Bahn AG (Braunschweig -Wolfenbüttel - Vienenburg -Bad Harzburg Goslar ) runs through the municipality of Kissenbrück. It is developed as a double-track main line and after the Lower Saxon regional planning program provided for electrification. In the past, the district Hedwigsburg had a railway station on this route. The Federal Highway 79 ( Wolfenbüttel Halberstadt ) runs about 2 km north past the village in east-west direction.
