Geography

Geographical Location

The municipality is located in the lower Unterklettgau Klettgau along the three creeks blades digging, Schwarzenbach and Seegraben. The municipality covers an altitude of 390-670 meters.

Neighboring communities

Unterklettgau borders the Swiss municipalities Trasadingen and Wilchingen in Canton of Schaffhausen and Wasterkingen in the canton of Zurich and the German communities Wutoeschingen, Lauchringen, Kuessaberg, Hohentengen on the Upper Rhine and Dettighofen.

The spatial boundaries of the districts are identical to the previously independent municipalities of the same name, its official designation is done by preceding the name of the municipality and separated by comma, the name of each hamlet. History

Erzingen is first documented in pago Chleggouve in villa Arcingen in 876 in a Cartular the monastery Rheinau. In Erzingen there was a village noble family, the lords of Erzingen. The community was Unterklettgau Riedern formed on August 1, 1971 as part of the Baden-Württemberg territorial reform of the formerly independent villages Erzingen, grits, Rechenberg, the sea and Weis Weil. On 1 January 1975 Buhl and Geißlingen were incorporated.

Clubs

There are over 100 clubs in the community. They are divided into carnival, women, music, singing, and sports clubs. The largest club is the Turnverein Erzingen with over 800 members.

Economy and infrastructure
