Krasnokamsk
Krasnokamsk (Russian Краснокамск ) is a city in the Perm region (Russia) with 51 916 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).
Geography
The city is located in Uralvorland, about 35 km north- west of the regional capital of Perm on the right bank of the Kama.
Krasnokamsk the region is under the administrative right and as the administrative center of the homonymous Rajons. The urban-type settlement Owerjata is the city Krasnokamsk assumed.
The city is connected by a branch line with them a few kilometers north immediate Trans-Siberian Railway ( station Owerjata ).
History
Krasnokamsk was created in 1929 in connection with the construction of the Kama -cellulose paper combine ( Kamski zelljulosno bumaschny - industrial complex ), and received city rights in 1938. In the 1930s petroleum was discovered and started its promotion by Krasnokamskneft around the city.
