Geography

Lautenbach is located at the entrance of Renchtal in the northern Black Forest. More than two-thirds of the municipal area consists of forests.

The municipality is bordered to the north by Kappelrodeck, to the east by Ottenhoefen, in the south on the town Oppenau and to the west by the town of Oberkirch.

History
