The box set Live Shit: Binge & Purge is the first live album by the band Metallica. It was published on 23 November 1993.

Construction and content

In his original publication of the set of three VHS tapes and CDs was three. In 2003 it was re-released, the three VHS were replaced by two DVDs. Concerts in San Diego and Mexico City were recorded during the Wherever -We- May- Roam or Nowhere -Else -to- Roam tour, the Seattle concert, however, was taken during the Damaged Justice tour.

The original version of this box set was released in a cardboard box in the Design of a tour panel box, there were the three VHS tapes and CDs, a " Snakepit " badge, a Sprühschablone and a 72-page booklet with some tour photos and handwritten comments space. In the edition of 2003, however, the booklet was not included, but is locate only in the form of several JPEG files on the second DVD.

Reception

Stephen Thomas Erlewine of Allmusic wrote, the sheer scale of the box sets would bring everyone except the toughest fans in fear. However, see the box with the concert in Mexico the "Power" Metallica. For hardcore fans, Live Shit is a " gift of the gods ". He forgave 2.5 out of five stars.
