Liverpool Sound Collage is the first experimental album by Paul McCartney, it contains no songs, but sound collages, composed McCartney made numerous recordings. At the same time it is the thirty-second album Paul McCartney after the breakup of the Beatles, including the Wings albums of The Fireman albums, classic albums, live albums and compilation albums. It was released on 21 August 2000 in the UK and on 26 September 2000 in the United States.
Formation
The artist Peter Blake, who designed, among other things, the cover of the album Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Paul McCartney asked for a stake in, designed by Blake for the Liverpool Tate Gallery exhibition About Collage in 2000. McCartney told and created a sound collage on Liverpool. But he made recordings of conversations with students of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, passer in Liverpool and road noise. He also used excerpts of his classic works of Paul McCartney's Liverpool Oratorio and fragments from old recording sessions of the Beatles. Some passages he had of Youth, with whom he had already worked with The Fireman, and the Welsh band Super Furry Animals at Abbey Road Studios remixing, so he handed his finished collage by Peter Blake 2000, he left the Super Furry Animals for review the remix of the piece anfertigten.

The album received a Grammy nomination in the category "Best Experimental Album," but the price went to Radiohead for the album Kid A.
