Run Devil Run is the twelfth solo album by Paul McCartney. At the same time it is the thirtieth album Paul McCartney after the breakup of the Beatles, including the Wings albums of The Fireman albums, classic albums, live albums and compilation albums. It was published on 4 October 1999 in the UK and on 5 October 1999 in the United States.

Formation

Almost twelve years after the recording of his first rock 'n' roll album Снова в СССР Paul McCartney decided to take another, so are on the album by Paul McCartney selected rock ' n' roll songs of the 1950s and three new McCartney compositions (What it Is, Try Not to Cry and Fabulous, which was released as a B- side) that fit the music in the album. During a family visit in January 1999 in Atlanta, USA, Paul and James McCartney found in the drugstore Miller's Rexall an agent called Run Devil Run, which is to keep "evil" spirits away. This name was then used for a song and the album.

The album was released on 4 October 1999 and was mostly well received by music critics. In Europe, the album was released as a vinyl LP.

Paul McCartney joined on 11 December 1999 betting in the German entertainment show, dass. and brought his new single No Other Baby dar.

The cover photo was taken by Dave Fine, the cover design is by Norman Hathaway. More photos that were used for the CD booklet are by Richard Haughton, Mike McCartney, John Hammel and Mike Owen, the drawings are by Klaus Voormann.

On October 16th 1999 Studios was recorded in Hollywood, the Buddy Holly song Maybe Baby with Jeff Lynne and Paul McCartney as a producer at Capitol Recording. This recording, however, was intended for the soundtrack of the feature film of the same name. The soundtrack album was released in June 2000; in some countries, Promotion CD singles were produced.

Single releases

No Other Baby

On 9 November 1999, the single No Other Baby / Brown Eyed Handsome Man / Fabulous, on 7 " vinyl single and 5 " CD- single was released in the UK. The 5 "CD- single was released in both stereo and monaural with a different cover. Fabulous comes from the recording session of the album Run Devil Run.

In the U.S. 7 " vinyl single No Other Baby / Try Not to Cry was coupled out on 23 November.
