Luciano Bacheta

Akshay Luciano Bacheta ( born April 26, 1990 in Romford, England ) is a British racing driver. He won the 2012 FIA Formula 2 Championship. 2013 he appears in the Auto GP.

Career

Bacheta began his motorsport career in karting in 2004 and was active until 2006 in this sport. Early in his career was financially supported by his father's company. In 2006 he moved into the T -Cars - series in which racers aged 14 to 17 sedans were on the road, and immediately won the championship. He also was in the fall championship of Formula Palmer Audi made ​​his debut in Formula racing. He won two races and finished third in the overall standings. Bachetas parents are from India. He also has ancestors from Italy. He is managed since 2011 by Anthony Hamilton.
