Geography

Geographical location

Mahlstetten lies on the Great Heuberg, a plateau in the south west of the Swabian Alb, about ten kilometers north of the county town of Tuttlingen.

Neighboring communities

The surrounding communities are in the north Böttingen, in the east Renquishausen and Kolbingen, in the south of the city Mülheim an der Donau and the west Dürbheim.

Community structure

The municipality includes the village Mahlstetten Mahlstetten and the houses Aggenhausen, Lippachmühle and Lippachölmühle. Outbound Aggenhausen is a village in the 17th century and is located on the top end of the Ursentals.

History

The community Mahlstetten was first mentioned in records in 1253.

The municipality is a member of the Agreed administrative community of the city Spaichingen.

The baroque pilgrimage church Aggenhausen with the cemetery of Mahlstetten is located about one kilometer from the village, in the direction Spaichingen.

Sports

Mahlstetten is primarily known for its winter sports. The range extends over two ski lifts up to Eleven kilometers Mahlstetter trail.
