Moravia is a municipality in the Westerwald district in Rhineland -Palatinate ( Germany ). It belongs to the municipality Wallmerod.

Geographical location

The community lies in the Westerwald between Montabaur and Westerburg. Moravia is a rural residential community.

History

Moravia was first mentioned in documents as chambers in 1508.

On May 1, 1969, together with the community Elbingen the community Elbingen Moravia newly formed, it was dissolved and the church today Elbingen and Moravia newly formed on 1 January 1994.

The local council in Moravia consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

In the immediate vicinity of the site the federal road runs 8, Limburg an der Lahn and Hennef ( victory ) connects. The nearest motorway junction is Montabaur at the A 3, about 13 kilometers away. The nearest train station is in ICE Montabaur at the high-speed line Cologne-Rhine/Main.
