Bibart market is located on the creek " Bibart " directly on the main road 8 accurately between Nuremberg and Würzburg.

History

Bibart belonged for centuries to the Bishopric of Würzburg and was the seat of an office. Bibart was in the Frankish Empire circle. 1803 was the place with the secularization of the Bishopric of Würzburg to the Kingdom of Bavaria.

On 2 February 1963, the municipality was officially changed name Bibart in market Bibart.

Religions

The population of Bibart market is predominantly Roman Catholic. There also exists an Evangelical Lutheran parish.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1972, until then independent municipality goats Bach was incorporated. Altmann Hausen was added on 1 January 1976.

The coat of arms description reads: Split of blue and silver; forward a tilted square, quartered silver and red flag on golden spear rod, rear one -set, red gezungter black beaver with a blue tail.

Structures

The old Catholic parish church of St. Mary is a prime example of nachgotischen Real style. The fixing of the place of the Middle Ages has hardly obtained.

Traffic

Bibart market has a station on the railway line between Nuremberg and Würzburg. There is maintenance of the VGN- line R1 Nuremberg - Kitzingen.

The surrounding area is accessible by several bus lines that also include VGN- network. However, since they do not operate during off-peak hours and on weekends, VGN- users from the surrounding areas often rely still on the car.

The base and part of high school I was dissolved in market Bibart the school year 2004/2005. Since then the market has Bibart only a single-compartment primary school ( elementary school market Bibart ).
