History
The founding Sugenheims made on Frankish Lehnsgebiet in the 9th century. Of the lords Castell and Hohenlohe, the Baron of Seckendorf acquired gradually a closed complex rule and built a castle. The 1600 newly built three wings comprehensive castle with its decorated by picturesque gallery small courtyard and four sturdy towers today can still feel something of the character of the extensive direct imperial aristocracy, which belonged to the Frankish knights circle. After the end of the Thirty Years' War here settled numerous Protestant religious refugees from Austria and made a significant contribution to reconstruction. In 1796 Sugenheim was occupied by Prussian troops and annexed to the Kingdom of Prussia. In 1810 it came to the Kingdom of Bavaria and increased by increase in population on the market. Incorporations
On January 1, 1972, the formerly independent communities interpreting Home, Ezelheim, Ingolstadt, Krassolzheim, herb Ostheim and nine village were incorporated. On May 1, 1978, added Ullstadt.
