History

Incorporations

On 1 July 1972, the formerly independent communities Eichelbergstrasse and Oberndorf were incorporated. Mail home was added on 1 January 1978. Kaubenheim followed on 1 May 1978.

Structures

  • Cemetery Chapel to Holy Cross in Ipsheim from 1614
  • Burg Hoheneck. Since 1984 it houses the Youth Education Center of the District Youth for Nuremberg.
  • The Church of St. John in Ipsheim is named after John the Baptist. It was built in 1273, in 1293 the first priest was mentioned.
