Max Klauß

Max Klauss ( born July 27, 1947 in Sigmar -Schönau ), is a German track and field athlete and Olympian, who - starting for the GDR - in the 1960s and 1970s was successful as a long jumper. His greatest achievement is the victory at the European Championships in 1971, for which he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.

First Max Klauß belonged to the SC Karl- Marx-Stadt, later the SC Einheit Dresden. In his playing days, he was 1.85 m tall and weighed 85 kg.
