Melissa Hauschildt

Melissa Hauschildt ( born April 13, 1983 in Adelaide as Melissa Rollison ) is an Australian athlete, triathlete, triathlon reigning world champion on the middle distance (2011, 2013) and long distance ( 2013).

Career

The middle distance runner Melissa Rollison celebrated her first success in 2000 when she was Australian champion in the 3000 m steeplechase. This track her defense in 2001 and 2002 and won again in 2006 and 2008. In 2006, Rollison won the silver medal in the 3000 m steeplechase champion Dorcus Inzikuru behind the world at the Commonwealth Games. At the World Cross Country Championships in 2006, the Australian finished third in the team competition in third place in the sprint, in 2008 she was able to repeat this result.

Rollison moved in sequence to triathlon, where she celebrated her first success in 2010 with a second place at Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific. In 2011, she won in a short time after the other three contests on the half Ironman distance. Only one year after their first start in the middle distance she won in September 2011, also at the Ironman 70.3 World Championship victory.

In June 2013 she became world champion on the long distance and in September they picked up in Las Vegas after 2011 again also the World Champion title on the middle distance.
