Michael Raelert

Michael Raelert ( born August 29, 1980 in Rostock ) is a German professional triathlete and World (2009 and 2010) and reigning European champion middle distance ( 2010, 2012 ). He is in the Hall of Fame German triathletes ( men) out on the Ironman distance.

Sports career

2005 Michael Raelert German Schliersee champion on the Olympic distance (1.5 km swim, 40 km cycling and 10 km running). The years 2006 and 2007 were marred by health problems and in 2008 he was able to repeat the victory at the German Championships.

In November 2009, he was ( drive for 1,9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21.1 km run ) in Florida champion at the Ironman 70.3 distance. His older brother Andreas Raelert is also an active triathlete and had reached here last year to second place. On the bike course Michael Raelert currently uses wheels of the Swiss bicycle manufacturer BMC after working with Trek was completed in 2010.
