Jodie Swallow

Jodie Ann Swallow ( born June 23, 1981 in Loughborough ) is an English triathlete, triathlon world champion on the middle distance (2010), Ironman champion (2013 ) and reigning Ironman Vice- European Champion ( 2013).

Career

Jodie Swallow operates triathlon since 2000 and was in 2001 awarded by the ETU as the " most successful athlete of the season ." In 2004, she competed in Athens at the Olympics, where she placed 34th. In 2005 she had an injury for a year expose. Jodie Swallow studied at Loughborough University and now lives in Brentwood. In October 2009 she became world champion at ITU Long Distance (3 km swim, 80 km cycling and 20 km running).

In June 2010, Jodie Swallow behind the winner, Virginia Berasategui Vice - European Champion on the long distance and in November she was in Florida Triathlon World Champion in the middle distance ( Ironman 70.3: 1,9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running).

Since 2011 she starts for the team TBB. In St. George, she started for the first time at the Ironman distance (3.86 km swim, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) in May 2011 - was the race after a foot injury but did not finish.

In July 2012, she was in Spain third in the World Championship on the triathlon long distance and in August she was in Wiesbaden fourth in the Triathlon Championship on the middle distance. She was a member of the Abu Dhabi Triathlon Team - until its dissolution in January 2013.

In July 2013, it was in Frankfurt Ironman Vice European Champion and in August she won her first Ironman in Sweden victory.

Jodie Swallow is in a relationship with the triathletes James Cunnama.
