Geography
Geographical Location
Mette home is located in Southeast Upper Bavaria, in a large Talniederung between the rivers Inn and Isen only 6 km north- west of the county town Mühldorf. The A94 runs right past Mette home, their next junction Mühldorf -West is 3 km away. In the neighboring village of Ampfing there are connections to the railway line from Munich to Mühldorf, which is operated by the SüdostBayernBahn.

History
Mette home belonged to Rentamt Landshut and the Neumarkt district court of the Electorate of Bavaria. Means the chairman shaft Mettenheim practiced the archbishopric Salzburg until its abolition in 1803 of the lower courts about his local subjects.
Incorporations
On October 1, 1934, until then independent municipality hole home was incorporated. On January 1, 1972, added Gumattenkirchen.

Economy, agriculture and forestry
There were 1998 in the field of agriculture and forestry none, in the production sector and 103 in the area of trade and transport 89 persons work at the workplace.
