The Monroe Township is one of 24 townships in Ogle County in the north of the U.S. state of Illinois.

Geography

The Monroe Township is located in northern Illinois about 130 kilometers west of Chicago. The border with Wisconsin is located about 45 km north; the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Iowa, is located approximately 100 km west.

The Monroe Township is located at 42 ° 05'58 " north latitude and 88 ° 59'57 " west longitude and extends over 93.8 km ².

The Monroe Township is located in the extreme northeast of Ogle County and is bordered to the north by the Winnebago County and on the east by the DeKalb County, which already belongs to the Chicago metropolitan area. Traffic
