The train station Munich - Trude ring is a rail station in Trudering district of the Bavarian capital Munich and a station of the S- and U -Bahn Munich.

History

The Trudering station was taken on October 15, 1871 at the same time opened railway line Munich -Rosenheim in operation. On 1 October 1938, the station was renamed Trudering in Munich- Trudering station. The former station building was demolished in the 1970s. On 28 May 1972 he was integrated into the network of the Munich S-Bahn. Since 1979, the S- Bahn run in Trude ring on their own track.

The built below the Truderinger Street station on the U2 subway Munich was opened to traffic on 29 May 1999. During construction of the tunnel was created on 20 September 1994, water entering a cavity below the road. As a result, a bus crashed in the resulting crater. In so-called bus accident by Trude ring three people were killed. These were two passengers and a construction worker. The opening of the tunnel route to Riem was delayed and therefore the metro station was opened in 1999.

Construction

Above-ground station

The train station Munich - Trude ring has ten tracks, two of which have a platform. The tracks without platforms 1 and 2 are used for long-distance and regional services of the railway line from Munich to Rosenheim.

The tracks 3 and 4 are located on a 238 m long and 96 cm high central platform and used the S-Bahn. Track 3 of the S-Bahn station Trudering is served by the S-Bahn in the direction Zorneding, track 4 of the Munich S-Bahn towards the city center. There are two staircases that lead to the two connecting tunnels. In addition, a lift takes from the platform in the eastern tunnel connection.

The tracks 5 and 6 belong to the Munich North ring coming together in the west part of the station from Daglfing by train between Munich and Rosenheim. They are therefore mostly through freight trains. About 1.2 kilometers east of the station pass under the freight tracks the S-Bahn line and open height freely into the mainline tracks. The tracks 7-10 are used as sidings for freight trains and S-Bahn railcar. To the west of the station, the three routes via switches are interconnected.

Subway station

Metro Station Trude ring located under the Truderinger road and is located on the second trunk line of the Munich U- Bahn network. It is operated from the eastern branch of the U2 line.

The station was built in shield tunneling method, so that the central platform is divided into two tubes platform. These are interconnected by two cross passages. Since the station is in a curve, the platforms are staggered. The side walls are in solid red, the characteristic color of the line U2 deleted. On these, the station name is written in white. The other design elements are kept in shades of gray. The inner walls of the platforms and parts of the ceiling are covered with aluminum. The floor was designed with light and dark gray granite slabs. With a depth of 24 meters Trude ring is one of the deepest subway stations in Munich.

Connecting Tunnel

In the east there is a connecting tunnel Fingerhakel and a Armdrück representation. It connects the eastern barrier floor of the subway station and the S-Bahn station together. In addition, there is an exit to the bus station and south of the station located Truderinger road, as well as an exit to the northern Birthälmer road. An elevator connects the S platform with this connecting tunnel, another elevator leading from the subway platform of the eastern barrier floor to the bus station. There is also on the north side a third elevator that leads from the connecting tunnel to the surface.

From the western connecting tunnel also runs to the suburban rail, the subway station and Truderinger road. However, here there is no connection to the northern side of the railway station.

There are also on the Truderinger road and at the road Birthälmer ever a park - and-ride space for the transition between private and public transport.

Traffic

The S-Bahn station Trudering is served by the S4, the Munich S-Bahn from Geltendorf to Ebersberg, in the rush hour also runs the S6 of Tutzing Zorneding, so a 10 - minute cycle is in the city center. Every day is around 150 S-Bahn to Trude ring. Regional and long-distance trains pass through the station without stopping.

Metro Station Trude ring is from the eastern branch of the U2 line, which runs on this route in parts, together with the U1, served.
