Geography

Geographical location

The municipality is located in Hersfeld-Rotenburg district in osthessischen Bergland. There she is in the center of the Richelsdorfer Mountains, between the Fulda River in the west and in the east of the Werra. History

The first written mention of the districts comes from the interest register of the monastery Helmershausen ( now part of the unified community Rhönblick ). Here Hasels 1120 was mentioned as Hasolo in Thuringia in the year. Tense followed in 1195 and Susse in 1267, the Hermann von Trott had received as Lauter Bergisch fief. Mayor

The former mayor Lothar Schmidt ( SPD) was elected on September 10, 2000 with a vote share of 90.6 % in his fourth term. Coat of arms
