Netishyn

Netischyn (Ukrainian Нетішин; Russian Нетешин / Nete Schin, Polish Nityszyn ) is a town in Ukraine. The city is located about 104 kilometers south of the Oblasthauptstadt Khmelnytsky on the river Horyn.

The town was first mentioned in writing in 1542 and remained until the construction of the nuclear power plant Khmelnitsky in the 1980s, a small village. Between 1920 and 1939/45 it was the border town the Soviet Union to Poland, the railway line Kovel - Kosjatyn runs north of the town since the end of the 19th century. The nuclear power plant was built about 3 kilometers south of the village on the banks of the river Horyn and for the construction and operation of a new settlement south-east of the old village was built in 1984 got the place then also awarded the city status.
